Mytrip Sold Me a Nonexistent Air Albania Flight and Gave No Help or Refund

Back in September, I booked a flight through Mytrip with Air Albania for March 28 at 23:00, flying from Istanbul to Albania. When we arrived at the airport, we went to the info desk only to be told that no such flight existed. After checking the flight code, we were told the actual flight had departed at 6:00 AM—not at 11:00 PM as shown on our ticket.

We called Mytrip, but they offer no 24-hour Turkish support, so we were forced to speak with someone in broken English who claimed the flight still appeared in their system and that there was “no issue.” But when we returned to the airline counter, they confirmed again there was no flight.

Thankfully, we met an Albanian passenger in the same situation who helped us call Air Albania directly, where we were finally told the flight had been canceled. Mytrip never notified us, never offered help, and didn’t even acknowledge the issue when we called.

We also lost money on our accommodation in Albania, since we couldn’t make it that night. We demand compensation for the canceled flight and the additional losses we incurred. This kind of neglect is unacceptable—Mytrip must take responsibility.
