I purchased a Flex ticket through Mytrip specifically to benefit from date change flexibility. However, when I needed to modify my flight just five days before departure, I was shocked by how misleading the flexibility actually was.
During a support call with their customer service, I was told I would have to pay ₺3,980 to update my ticket to a new date. The frustrating part? At the exact same time, the same new flight on their website was only ₺3,493. Worse yet, I could buy an entirely new Flex fare for just ₺4,052. So why am I, a Flex ticket holder, being charged more to change a flight than the cost of simply buying a brand-new one?
When I questioned this pricing inconsistency, the representative told me it was because I had to renew the ticket under the same Flex package. This makes absolutely no sense and completely defeats the purpose of paying extra for flexibility. If Flex doesn’t provide fair change options, it’s just an overpriced scam.
I feel misled and exploited. I intend to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board, and I strongly advise others to reconsider using Mytrip if they value transparency and fairness. I expect a full explanation and a refund of the unjustified price difference.
