Michelob Ultra Sent My FIFA Contest Tickets Too Late to Use
I am writing regarding the Michelob Ultra FIFA contest in which I was selected as a winner for tickets to Match 52, Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Qatar, on 24 June 2026 in Seattle, Washington. What was supposed to be a fun and exciting experience turned into a stressful and frustrating process from start to finish. On May 20, I received an email stating that I had won contest tickets and that I would be contacted by a ticket manager. However, I waited weeks before anyone reached out. When the ticket manager finally contacted me, they asked for my information and then told me that I would have to wait several more weeks. In the end, the tickets were only sent three days before the match. Because I live in Michigan, I needed reasonable advance notice to arrange flights and accommodation. By the time the tickets arrived, airline prices had doubled, hotels were heavily booked, and overall travel costs would have been roughly triple the normal amount. I estimate that flights, hotel, food, and transportation would have cost around $3,000 due to the last-minute timing. This delay effectively made it unrealistic for me to attend the match and completely ruined what should have been a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Throughout this process, the customer service experience was very disappointing. The representatives I dealt with did not seem experienced, did not provide clear answers or timely updates, and made me feel as though I was being shrugged off. When I raised my concerns, I only received a simple “sorry” with no real effort to fix the situation. I expect Michelob Ultra and the contest organizers to take responsibility for the way this promotion was handled. I am requesting reimbursement or compensation for the lost opportunity to use the tickets, as well as a serious review and change in how such promotions and prize fulfillments are managed so that winners receive tickets in a timely manner and are treated with respect and professionalism. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I hope you will address both my case and the underlying issues in your process.
