Lululemon Leggings Bled Color and Started Pilling After Two Wears

In February 2026, I purchased a pair of Glow Up True Navy 25-inch leggings from the Lululemon Akasya store. I also own leggings in different colors from the same model and have never experienced any problems with them. However, when I wore this particular pair for only the second time, the color bled heavily after I hand-washed them. The fabric then began to fade, develop loose threads, and pill. After experiencing discomfort when wearing them again, I took the leggings to the Lululemon İstinye store, explained the problem, and submitted them for inspection.

Following the inspection, my request was rejected on the grounds that there was “no defect.” However, when the leggings were returned to me, there was no indication that they had been washed or subjected to any meaningful technical inspection, and I was not provided with an inspection report. It remained completely unclear on what basis my claim was rejected as having “no defect.” During this process, I hand-washed the leggings once again, and a significant amount of dye came out into the water. The fabric appears to be becoming increasingly thin, almost as if it is deteriorating in my hands, while loose threads and pilling continue to develop throughout the garment. Despite repeatedly explaining the problem specifically with these leggings, especially since I have had no issues with the other colors, I felt that no one was genuinely taking my complaint seriously.

When I called customer service, they also told me that they did not know why my case had been rejected and that they could not access the inspection report. Seeing this kind of approach from a brand that positions itself around quality, especially for a product I paid approximately $134 for, has seriously damaged my perception of the brand. I was excited when Lululemon entered the Turkish market and had increased my purchases because of that, but because of this experience, I have stopped shopping at Lululemon stores in Turkey. I am also considering submitting this matter to the company’s headquarters along with the relevant records.

I request that my defective Glow Up True Navy 25-inch leggings be replaced with a new
