Lexus RX500h Door Seal Glued Instead of Properly Installed at Authorized Service

On November 27, 2025, I visited the Efe Anka Motorlu Araçlar Lexus authorized service center on Ankara–Eskişehir Road to have the broken retaining clips on the door weatherstrip of my Lexus RX500h replaced. My sole intention was for the relevant part to be replaced with an original component, preserving the vehicle’s factory condition.
However, after the service, I discovered that the door weatherstrip had been glued to the body panel instead of being installed properly using the clip system as designed. This practice was a serious disappointment for me in terms of both workmanship quality and vehicle originality. When I returned to the service center after noticing the issue, I was told that a new weatherstrip would be ordered; however, by that point, the vehicle’s bodywork had already been damaged. The work order number for this service is 20251127010.
While my trust in the Lexus brand remains strong, this experience at a Lexus authorized service center in Türkiye has led me to believe that I can no longer confidently entrust my vehicle to these services. I request that urgent inspections and improvements be implemented to prevent such careless practices that are inconsistent with the brand’s image, and to ensure that other customers do not experience similar harm. I am not requesting any repair, compensation, or additional work; I only expect the seriousness of my disappointment and loss of trust to be acknowledged, and for measures to be taken to prevent similar situations in the future.
