I love buying Lego sets and I always encourage my daughter to build her own creations. But, after what happened recently, my opinion on Lego is going to be different now. We ran into a problem today while using Lego as an educational toy - we didn't have all the pieces we needed. When we told the store where we bought them about this, their response was totally unexpected. Here's the list of things that are missing. If we didn't have extra Lego pieces to add to these parts, finishing the toy would have been impossible. I'm bringing up this issue not just for my daughter, but also for other parents who might face the same problem. I don't know how long it will take us to get these pieces, considering the time we've already wasted. Also, we consider fuel costs and other expenses...
We purchased the Lego set with the number 40644. My daughter, who is 10 years old, noticed that some parts were missing while she was building something. It had nothing to do with parts falling out or getting lost. We finished building the Lego by using the matching pieces from our other sets. We went to the Lego store at Ankamall to report the problem. But we didn't get the response and attention we were hoping for. There were six pieces that were missing. One of them was a double part with the number 6213777, another was a single part with the number 6217797. There were also two special parts with the number 6132918, and two similar parts with the number 6258094, which had four eyes. Unfortunately, two of them were missing from the package as well. We finished building the Lego using the pieces we had. We also let the Ankamall store know about the issue with the Lego set we purchased. They said it wasn't their problem, like they didn't have any cases of missing parts (as if we lost them), and that we should contact the Lego website.
I want to be compensated right away, and I also want Lego to be more careful when making their products and doing other things. And please, I need the missing parts replaced as soon as possible. Just so you know, if Lego doesn't fix this problem, I'm going to take it up with someone higher up.
