I purchased a sweater from the LC Waikiki Anatolium store on January 4, 2026. After a short period of use, the product developed serious quality issues such as pilling, shrinking, and loosening in the waist and sleeve elastic areas, making it unusable for me.
Due to these issues, I visited the LC Waikiki Kent Meydanı store and clearly stated that I wanted to return the product and receive a cash refund. Even to have the product accepted for inspection, I had to insist, and I noticed that my request for a cash refund was not recorded on the inspection form. Therefore, I wrote my request for a cash refund by hand on the form and signed it.
Later, I received an SMS stating that my return request had been approved and that I should visit the store. When I went to the store, I informed them that my refund request had been accepted. However, the cashier told me that they would only issue a gift card. I refused this, and the store manager was called. The manager also stated that a cash refund was not possible and insisted on issuing a gift card instead.
During this process, instead of calmly listening to me, they kept interrupting and made it difficult for me to express myself. I even had to remind them to listen to the customer before responding. I felt that I was not taken seriously, that customers were treated as uninformed, and that the staff were trying to impose their own policies instead of properly informing us of our rights.
Although my return was accepted, I find it unacceptable that I am being forced to accept a gift card instead of a cash refund and that I was treated disrespectfully during this process. I request that the price of the sweater be refunded to me in cash, as I clearly stated, and that I receive an apology for the behavior I encountered. I also ask that the staff be properly informed about customer communication and consumer rights.
