I bought the La Roche-Posay Lipikar AP+M moisturizing balm directly from the brand’s official seller on Trendyol, expecting the trusted quality the brand is known for. But the moment I opened the bottle and applied it, I was hit with an absolutely awful fish-like smell. It was so strong and offensive that I couldn’t believe it came from a premium skincare product.
Once applied, the scent doesn’t fade—it actually gets worse. It’s embarrassing and completely unusable. I’ve never experienced this kind of odor from any cream, not even the cheapest ones, let alone from a brand that markets itself as dermatologist-approved and safe for sensitive skin.
There is clearly something wrong with the formula or the batch, and I’m extremely disappointed. This isn’t what anyone expects after paying ₺ for a moisturizing balm that’s supposed to be gentle and pleasant to use.
I demand a full refund and an explanation. La Roche-Posay needs to investigate this issue, pull any faulty batches from sale, and start taking customer complaints seriously. No one should have to smell like fish just for trying to take care of their skin.
