Yesterday, on December 24, 2025, I attempted to purchase a round-trip airline ticket for a friend through Kiwi.com using my credit card. The total amount was $1,415. The payment was not fully completed and remained in pending (authorization) status, but as usual, we assumed the amount would be charged shortly.
The flight departure was scheduled for today, December 25, 2025. Despite this, Kiwi.com did not forward the payment to Air Arabia, the operating airline. However, Kiwi.com still sent us an email confirming the ticket, including the flight time and return date. Because the airline was never notified or paid, the aircraft departed without us.
As a result, we were forced to purchase tickets from another airline in order to travel. Meanwhile, the original payment is still stuck in pending status. I contacted my bank, and I am hoping the amount will be released back to my account; otherwise, I will pursue legal action.
If Kiwi.com is selling airline tickets, I strongly urge all airlines and potential customers to be extremely cautious. I am formally requesting that Kiwi.com immediately refund the $1,415 taken from my card.
