Kiko Milano Return Issue - No Exchange Without Receipt

Hi there, I purchased a present from Kiko Milano for my friend, but the item remained untouched, including the outer packaging. They insist on having a receipt in order to process the exchange, citing it as their policy. Wow, what time period are we currently residing in? Why is it so difficult to hold onto a receipt? Retrieving the receipt from their system is a breeze. It's only been a few days since I made the purchase, and I'm already requesting an exchange. I contacted customer service, but I haven't received a response yet.
