Kia Stonic Purchase Nightmare: Deceptive Practices and Unethical Behavior

I engaged with your authorized dealer in Aydın Söke, spoke with N***** Hanım at the central office, and agreed upon the Kia Stonic model, its price, and payment options. After a 70-kilometer trip to see the vehicle on a Sunday, I liked it. On November 20, 2023, I extensively communicated with N***** Hanım via both phone and WhatsApp, finalized the details, and deposited 1,000 TL as earnest money to the provided IBAN.

However, N***** Hanım later revealed that additional extras had been added to the car, and the associated costs would be collected separately. When I questioned why I should pay for extras without my consent, she replied, 'You decide.' This lack of transparency and ethical conduct is unacceptable. It tarnishes the reputation of the Kia brand, and it appears to be a deceptive move orchestrated by certain employees or service personnel.

We, as customers, work hard to gather funds, often sacrificing personal luxuries, to purchase a vehicle. Being manipulated for the sake of someone else's agenda is unjust. Kia, as a brand, should not tolerate such practices. I have sold my car under their influence, falling victim to an extra scheme they concocted solely for their benefit. All communications, documents, and transaction records are well-documented. It is my civic duty and responsibility to initiate legal proceedings with the Consumer Court, the Ministry of Commerce, and relevant authorities concerning the individuals associated with the brand and the service.
