I bought my 2023 Jeep Renegade Hybrid from the dealership just five months ago, and it's already giving me warnings to check the automatic parking brake system and the driver's airbag. What could be causing these errors in a brand-new car? Has anyone else experienced this? What's the solution?
Sometimes the parking brake won't disengage even when the seatbelts are fastened. I have to release it manually, which it didn't require before. I've started encountering these issues in the last couple of weeks. Additionally, a written warning to check the airbag appears on the driver's display. This warning sometimes disappears on its own, sometimes the sound stops but the light keeps flashing, and occasionally the lights go out when I restart the car. There have been instances where the alarms kept sounding even after restarting.
The car is only five months old and hasn't even reached 1,000 km yet. My wife mainly uses it to drop the kids off at school, barely leaving our neighborhood. I've attached pictures showing the blue circled warning lights that are illuminating.
