I purchased an iPhone 17 Pro Max 512 GB (Silver) from Hepsiburada (D-Market Inc.), invoiced on December 24, 2025. Only 17 days after receiving and starting to use the device, I noticed paint chipping and surface wear in multiple areas of the phone’s frame. There has been no dropping, impact, collision, or misuse of any kind—these issues appeared during normal daily use only. In fact, there is not a single scratch on the screen or glass parts of the device.
A device sold with a durability promise and purchased for 127,499 TL (approximately $2,960 USD) should not show visible deformation in such a short time under ordinary use, such as taking the phone in and out of a pocket or light contact with soft surfaces. This clearly indicates that the product is defective due to a manufacturing flaw. I previously used a high-end device, the Samsung S25 Ultra, for a much longer period and under harsher conditions without experiencing any similar issue, which further suggests that the coating and frame quality of this iPhone is below expected standards.
I have now been forced to use the device in this condition—with visible paint chipping and wear—for approximately 20 days. My replacement request to the seller was rejected, and I have not yet applied to an authorized Apple service center. At this stage, however, I expect both Hepsiburada and Apple Turkey to fulfill their obligations under Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers.
In accordance with the consumer choice rights granted by Law No. 6502, I am requesting that this device, which I clearly believe to be defective, be replaced with a brand-new, flawless, non-defective unit. I expect both Hepsiburada and Apple Turkey to resolve this issue quickly and permanently and eliminate the hardship I have experienced.
