About Instagram
Instagram is a social networking platform for individuals and businesses to engage with their audience and showcase their creativity, boasting over 1 billion monthly active users. Instagram was introduced in 2010, and it has undergone notable changes since its inception. Instagram was launched by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger in October 2010. The software was first released for iOS devices but later became available for Android as well. In the beginning, Instagram was a photo-sharing application that allowed users to apply filters to their photos and share them with their followers. It gained popularity and became one of the most widely used social networking platforms in the world. In 2012, Facebook (now Meta) acquired Instagram for $1 billion. This acquisition allowed for Instagram's ongoing growth and the addition of new features such as Instagram Stories, IGTV, and Reels.
