IKEA Refuses Warranty for My Console Despite No Misuse


On March 2, 2025, I purchased a console unit from IKEA Bursa. Recently, I noticed surface swelling and separation on the top and front panels of the furniture. I clean the console once a week with a dry cloth, no one is home during the day, and there has been no misuse or exposure to moisture. The product was purchased in installments, and I am still making payments. It is under warranty.
After noticing the issue, I first contacted the IKEA Bursa call center and was instructed to send photos to a mobile number. Today, I received another call from customer service informing me that the problem was considered user error and that no replacement would be made. I strongly disagree with this decision.
I do not find it acceptable that the issue was evaluated based solely on photographs. I request that a technician visit my home to inspect the product in person and that the top surface of the console be replaced under warranty.
