Hyundai i20 Battery Exploded Just Days After Authorized Service

Even though the 28,000-km maintenance for my 2024 Hyundai i20 was just completed at an authorized service center, only five days after the service, on January 4, 2026, the battery exploded. As a result of the explosion, all electrical systems in the vehicle shut down, and because the car became completely immobile, it had to be towed to Odak Service. I want to emphasize that my personal safety was seriously endangered during this incident.
The service center offered only to replace the battery under warranty. However, this vehicle has previously experienced two horn failures due to electrical problems, and those repairs were carried out at the Erk dealership. In other words, it is clearly evident that this vehicle has a recurring electrical issue.
The service stated that this was not a service error but a manufacturing defect and that a short circuit occurred, yet despite this, they insist that there is no issue with the electrical system, which I absolutely do not accept. A battery explosion is an extremely serious issue that directly threatens human life and falls under the category of a severely defective product.
My vehicle has been at the service center since January 4, 2026, and I have been unable to use it. I am requesting that this vehicle — license plate 34KPP* — which has suffered repeated electrical failures and ultimately a battery explosion, be replaced with a brand-new, defect-free equivalent under the responsibility of the manufacturer.
I expect Hyundai to take responsibility for this clearly defective vehicle and to resolve my grievance by taking into account both the explosion and the prior electrical failures. I have also requested information and a solution through your website and via email, but I have not yet received a satisfactory response. I am expecting an urgent and clear resolution to this matter.
