Hotels.com Charged Me Despite “Pay Later” Option – No Refund for 40 Days

I booked a stay at The Breeze Hotel in Eskişehir through Hotels.com using the "Book Now, Pay Later" option. They explicitly stated that no charge would be made upfront. However, the full amount was immediately deducted from my card.

To avoid further issues, I canceled my reservation, expecting a refund. It has now been 40 days, and I still haven't received my money back! I have tried reaching out multiple times, but Hotels.com has not responded properly.

I finally managed to speak with a virtual agent, who told me they contacted the hotel and were informed that no charge had been made—therefore, no refund would be issued. This is completely false! I have the receipt proving the charge, yet they continue to deny my refund.

I've been using Hotels.com for 7 years, and this is the first time I've experienced such an issue. Why am I being forced to pay for a trip I never took? I need urgent assistance to get my refund. My travel confirmation number is 73004474106204. I can provide proof of the charge if needed. Please fix this!
