Hotels.com Canceled My Honeymoon Reservation but Never Refunded My Money

On May 17, 2026, I made a reservation through Hotels.com for my honeymoon at Mandalina Hotel in Kaş. A total of approximately $2,095 was charged to my credit card. The reservation was created under the name S**** A****, and the refund reference number shown in the system is 72074454651390.
What concerns me most is that the payment was processed without even requiring my card password or any additional verification step. After the booking was completed, the reservation was later canceled without any clear explanation or justification.
As a result, I am now facing a situation where my reservation no longer exists, yet the money that was charged to my card has not been returned. Several weeks have passed, and I still have not received my refund. There is no active reservation, no clear information regarding the refund process, and no meaningful update about when I can expect my money to be returned.
I have repeatedly attempted to obtain assistance, but I have been unable to reach a responsible representative who can provide a concrete solution. Instead, I continue to receive vague and repetitive responses that do not address the actual problem.
I also contacted my bank regarding the missing refund. The bank informed me that the issue is not on their side and that Hotels.com must initiate and transmit the refund request before the funds can be returned to my account. In other words, I am currently waiting for Hotels.com to complete the refund process.
If the reservation was canceled, I do not understand why the payment has not been refunded after such a long period. If there is a legitimate reason for the delay, it should be communicated clearly and transparently. The lack of information has created unnecessary uncertainty and frustration.
This issue has not only disrupted our honeymoon plans but has also left a significant amount of money unavailable for weeks. I request the immediate and full refund of the approximately $2,095 charged to my card. I also request a detailed written explanation regarding why the reservation was canceled, what happened to the payment, and when the refund will be completed.
