Getting Nowhere with Hotels.com Over City Tax Overcharge!
I booked my Paris trip through Hotels.com, with all taxes supposedly included in the final price. Then, the hotel told me city taxes had gone up and I owed them extra! Needless to say, I was confused, contacted Hotels.com to get a refund for the overcharged city tax. That's when things turned into a nightmare. Reaching their customer service is a whole ordeal in itself – they only offer chat support, and the responses I received were borderline mocking and unhelpful. Despite explaining my situation and showing them the tax amount listed on my invoice, Hotels.com hasn't issued any refund. I simply want the money I was overcharged back! It's an absurd situation that a simple request like this can't be resolved.
