Hotels.com is charging more than the displayed price during the reservation process. When booking, the price shown on the site appears reasonable, but after payment, they withdraw a higher amount from your card without clear explanation.
Reaching customer service is a challenge. When you finally get through, they ask you to send your card statement and reservation details to their finance team. After following their instructions, there is no further response — the finance team simply never gets back to you.
It’s 2025, and this level of customer service is completely unacceptable. If you are considering booking through Hotels.com, be prepared to pay more than the advertised price and to be ignored when you seek help afterward. Other brands may end up being more affordable and transparent.
I demand a full investigation into these overcharges and a refund for the excess amount taken from my account. Please address this issue urgently.
