I purchased my flight ticket through Gotogate, but when I needed to cancel it, I handled the entire process on my own directly with the airline. I received confirmation from the airline that I was entitled to a refund. Throughout the entire cancellation process, Gotogate provided absolutely no support or service, yet they still insist on charging a service fee during the refund transaction.
I firmly believe that charging a service fee in a situation where no service was rendered is unethical. I even have written confirmation of the refund amount and approval from the airline, but Gotogate claims there is still a chance I might not get my money back. How is this acceptable?
This was my first and definitely last experience with Gotogate. I would never use this platform again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. With this kind of customer neglect and unfair policies, I can only imagine how many more customers they will lose. I urge Gotogate to reconsider charging unjustified service fees and to handle refund processes with more integrity.
