Gotogate Overcharged My Debit Card Beyond 3D Secure Approval
On January 15, 2026, during a flight reservation I made through Gotogate, I approved a payment of $1,937 on the 3D Secure verification screen. However, after the transaction, when I checked my bank statement, I saw that $1,998 had been charged to my card. This means there is a $61 difference between the amount I approved on the 3D Secure screen and the amount actually withdrawn from my card.
Because I made the payment using my debit card, my bank informed me that since this was not a credit card transaction, they would not be able to process a refund. The fact that a higher amount than what I approved on the 3D Secure screen was charged to my card occurred without my consent.
I request that the excess charge of $61 beyond the approved $1,937 be canceled and refunded to me. I ask that the transaction be corrected to match the amount confirmed on the 3D Secure screen and that the hardship I have experienced be resolved.
