Goldcar - Worst Car Renting Experience EVER

I arrived at Faro Airport in the evening 3rd of October. I had paid for a car on the Goldcars website - including three different insurances (and on my receipt, I could read: "full insurance paid"). I arrived at the Goldcar office around 8:45 PM, had two clients before me, and could pick up my car after approximately two hours. The office clerk told me that I would have to pay 1600 EUR in a deposit for eventual damages to the car. I said I had paid all insurances, but the woman behind the desk just told me I had to give her the deposit (and as I don't like to have too much money on my credit card) I asked if there was an insurance I could pay instead. Which they had - and I was informed that that kind of insurance could only be signed and payed for at the Goldcar office. After paying appr 380 EUR for the insurance I was informed that I also had to pay a deposit for fuel and motorway fees - which totaled 270 EUR. After that, I was informed that I didn't have to check the car. After that start I arrived at Pera (some 50 km away from Faro). During my 11-day stay, I used the motorways twice and I noticed 16 payment sounds. I returned the car in the morning 14th of October after filling the tank with gas - 500 meters from the Airport. I was assured I would have my deposit money for the fuel and motorway fees back within 30 days. Now we can register that it has passed 36 days and I haven't seen any money in my account. I am amazed by the extremely arrogant attitude towards customers that Goldcar seems to have. As long as I live I will NEVER rent a car from Goldcar again - and I will also do all I can to prevent others from using Goldcar. I am 76 years old and I have been renting cars on business trips and on vacations since I was 24, I have never experienced any company being worse than Coldcar.
