I purchased a Garmin Vivoactive 4s on May 29, 2020, and although I’ve used it for a long time, I hadn’t taken it into the pool until recently. Last week, I wore it in my gym’s pool, and immediately the text on the screen began to distort. After another swim, the display worsened and eventually disappeared. Considering this model is supposed to be suitable for pool use, I was shocked by the malfunction. I sent the watch to Garmin's Beyoğlu service center, and they told me the processor was damaged, costing ₺10,000 to fix. This explanation doesn’t seem believable, as the damage occurred right after it was exposed to water. Despite being marketed as pool-safe, it failed after just two swims. I can no longer recommend Garmin based on this experience.
