Suspicious Credit Card Transaction by Garanti BBVA
On 09/04/2025, a total of ₺15,000 was charged to my Garanti Bank virtual card in three separate transactions of ₺5000 each, all without my knowledge. I did not create this virtual card—it was generated without my consent. I filed a dispute for these unauthorized charges, but Garanti Bank responded that “the transactions were completed with a 3D Secure password, so the objection was denied.” However, I never received any 3D password for these transactions. It’s clearly a suspicious activity. Banks are responsible for protecting customer information and preventing fraudulent transactions. How could someone else access my banking details? Doesn’t Garanti Bank have any protection program in place to prevent or compensate for such incidents? I have been a Garanti Bank customer since 2003, and if they checked my banking history, they would see I’ve never made purchases in the middle of the night around 2–3 AM. This incident deeply upset me. It seems there is no data or fund security at Garanti Bank. I became a victim of a suspicious transaction that I did not make or authorize. I will report Garanti Bank's failure regarding this credit card fraud to the legal authorities and file a criminal complaint. If necessary, I will pursue my rights through legal action.
