On July 13, 2024, I purchased a ticket from Frankfurt to Antalya with Freebird Airlines. Due to excess baggage, I paid an additional €100, which was charged to "ahs Frankfurt gmbh" around 16:40. Two days later, I checked my account and found an unauthorized charge of €101.5 an hour after my initial payment, this time under the name "Hürküş Airlines." I contacted the airline, and they promised a refund. After 20 days, I discovered that the refund was mistakenly sent to someone else’s card, and now, nearly a month later, I am still waiting. My primary concern is how this unauthorized charge happened an hour after my initial payment without my knowledge—only the first transaction required a password, while the second was automatic. If I hadn’t noticed it in my account, the money would have remained with them. I’m extremely disappointed with the unauthorized charge and the ongoing refund issues. This was my first time purchasing a ticket with Freebird, and it has been a deeply frustrating experience.
