I Face Refund Problem with Fotor Free Trial Subscription Charging $40

I signed up for Fotor because it was advertised as a free membership, but shortly after registering, I discovered that the company had charged my card $40 without asking for any payment approval. This was extremely frustrating because I expected a free trial, yet they billed me directly without any confirmation code or warning. Even worse, the quality of the generated photos is very poor and does not match the promises they make on their website.
When I noticed the charge, I immediately contacted Fotor through email, but their responses have been either delayed or unhelpful. They keep avoiding the refund request and are not addressing the fact that this charge happened without my explicit consent. It feels deceptive that the platform highlights “free membership” but then withdraws money in the background.
I am demanding a full refund of the $40 that was wrongfully taken from my account and a clear explanation of how this could happen. Fotor must improve its transparency and stop misleading customers with false “free trial” claims. I expect them to resolve this issue promptly before I take further action.
