my 2006 Ford Focus Trend is such a pain in the bu**. The most annoying thing is that the engine keeps cutting off randomly, and sometimes it even stops completely. I've brought it to a bunch of mechanics, hoping they could figure out what's wrong, but no luck. Every time, they give me different explanations, which makes me confused and wonder why they can't just figure out the main problem. They keep throwing out different replacement parts, but none of them seem to do the trick, I just keep losing money on the way... the car seems to do whatever it wants. Sometimes it manages to protect itself, but other times the engine fault lamp lights up, which means there's a problem. I tried fixing some problems by swapping out the fuel filter, like one mechanic recommended. Some people said it might be the throttle, while others thought it could be the injectors or some gunk in the system. I did what they suggested, but the issue is still there.
