Flynas and Obilet Sent Me Back and Forth Over a Name Correction
On August 11, 2026, I purchased a flight ticket through the Obilet mobile app for myself on a December 22 flight from Sabiha Gökçen to Jeddah with Flynas. I then tried to purchase a ticket for my friend on the same flight, but I accidentally entered their last name incorrectly. Unfortunately, the system completed the transaction without showing me a final confirmation screen where I could review the passenger information one last time. I only noticed the mistake after the transaction had been completed.
This ticket, which cost a total of approximately $165, is currently unusable. When I contacted Flynas, I was told that I needed to handle the matter through the travel agency. However, when I contacted Obilet, I was told that they could not help with either a refund or changing the passenger's last name and that such a change was not possible. As a result, both companies are directing responsibility toward each other, while I am the one left dealing with the consequences of an error caused by Obilet's system, which did not provide adequate guidance or a final confirmation screen.
Since I made the transaction through Obilet, I request a refund of the approximately $165 paid for the December 22 Sabiha Gökçen–Jeddah ticket issued in the name of A** K********, or an equivalent solution that would resolve the inconvenience I have experienced. I ask Obilet to take the initiative and make an arrangement in the customer's favor so that this issue can be resolved.
