While searching online to track my cargo, I encountered what appeared to be an official shipping page. Believing it was legitimate, I entered my tracking number. Immediately afterward, I received an SMS with a confirmation code. This raised my suspicion, so I did not enter the code. Upon further investigation, I discovered that if I had entered it, I would have been automatically subscribed to a FitMe service at a cost of ₺229 per month, charged directly to my Turkcell bill.
I never sought to join this service and had no interest in it. The fact that such a misleading setup exists—designed to trick people into authorizing unwanted paid subscriptions—is extremely concerning. What’s worse is hearing that this service supposedly operates in partnership with major telecom providers like Turkcell and Vodafone. If that is true, it is deeply disappointing for companies of this scale to allow such deceptive practices.
I request that this matter be investigated immediately, that telecom providers block FitMe and similar schemes from billing customers without clear consent, and that the owners of this application be held accountable for deliberately misleading consumers.
