I recently encountered a deceptive practice involving the FitMe app, which is still available on the Google Play Store. While attempting to download a completely different application, I was misled into installing FitMe instead. Without my consent or any clear warning, the installation triggered a subscription that added a ₺229 charge directly to my phone bill.
I never agreed to this subscription, never used the service, and had no prior knowledge of its terms. The fact that such misleading tactics are allowed to operate openly on a major platform is deeply concerning. To make matters worse, there is no option to obtain a refund, and the service providers refuse to return the unauthorized charge.
I demand the immediate removal of FitMe from app stores, a full refund of the ₺229 wrongly billed to me, and stronger measures from both mobile operators and platform providers to prevent deceptive app installations. Consumers should never be tricked into paid subscriptions disguised as legitimate downloads.
