Europcar Customer Dissatisfaction And Violation Of Business Ethics

Dear Europcar Management, 

 I am Mehmet Ali Serkan O****, a specialist doctor, and on May 10, 2024, I visited your branch at Istanbul Yenibosna Airport AVM to rent a car. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations, and I have serious concerns regarding this matter. I made a reservation through Enuygun.com on the same day at 13:00 and made the payment. However, when I arrived at your Yenibosna office at 20:10, I was asked to fill out a form for a Findeks credit report query. After waiting for 40 minutes, I was informed that my Findeks report was negative, and the car could not be provided. The Findeks report is attached for your reference. During this process, I observed that 10 people entered the premises, and previous customers were treated with priority, with requests for high-end vehicles being accommodated. It was mentioned that the automatic car stock had depleted, and different vehicles were being offered to new customers. However, one customer stated that a car could be provided without the requirement of a Findeks report. This behavior is contrary to the business ethics we expect from a corporate entity. The exclusion of customers like myself, who have a strong financial history and prefer a corporate firm, and the disregard for service requests, is both morally and legally troubling. Furthermore, the office staff reading my personal data in front of other customers could be considered a violation of personal data protection laws. This negative experience I encountered is damaging to the reputation of your company. I could have chosen other car rental companies in the neighborhood, but believing that yours is a corporate entity, I made a 30-minute journey to reach your branch. Dear Sir/Madam, First of all, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service you have provided as a solution. Unfortunately, the discounted prices offered did not meet my expectations and remained quite high when compared to the prices of higher-class vehicles. This situation has made me feel undervalued as a customer. While offering discounted prices, I would have expected you to consider the customers' budgets and market conditions. However, in the current situation, I believe that your pricing policy is inadequate in ensuring customer satisfaction. I hope that you will show the necessary sensitivity on this matter and increase customer satisfaction by offering more reasonable prices.
