On January 20, 2025, I purchased a foundation and concealer from EsteeLauder.com, expecting an authentic product. However, when I opened and used the products on February 10, 2025, they felt completely different from the ones I had previously used.
To verify, I scanned the barcode using a product authenticity app, which flagged the items as counterfeit and even displayed a "Report Fraud" warning. To double-check, I used the government's e-verification system, and once again, the products were confirmed to be fake.
I immediately contacted Estée Lauder, expecting them to take responsibility. Instead, I was dismissed in an unprofessional manner. They outright denied my refund request, speaking to me in a condescending tone, and insisted they were a "big company" as if that justified selling fraudulent items.
I will never purchase from Estée Lauder again, whether online or in-store. I demand an immediate refund and an explanation as to why counterfeit products are being sold through their official website. If this issue is not resolved, I will escalate it through the appropriate consumer protection channels.
