I Bought an Envato After Effects Template That Doesn’t Work with Required Plugins

I purchased an After Effects template from Envato Elements for a time-sensitive project, but the file turned out to be completely unusable. The template does not function properly with the current version of After Effects and fails to load the Trapcode plugin settings at all. Even though my software and plugins are up to date, the project won’t render or behave as expected.
The worst part is that the template I downloaded was uploaded over five years ago, and there is no version compatibility information or plugin requirements listed in the description. I requested a refund due to this lack of transparency and functionality, but Envato refused. Instead, they told me to contact the plugin developers myself, as if the issue were my fault.
This is extremely unprofessional. Envato should take responsibility for the content they host and ensure that templates are regularly updated or at least clearly labeled with version and plugin compatibility. I paid for a product that doesn’t work, and I deserve a full refund. I expect this issue to be addressed promptly and my money returned without further delay.
