Electrolux 10kg Washer: Premature Rust Issues and Unfavorable Exchange Policy
A year ago, I bought a full-size, 10 kg capacity Electrolux washing machine. Both the front and side panels rusted within a year. I contacted headquarters, and a service team was dispatched to inspect. They stated that this problem had never occurred with this model before and took photographs during their examination. They called today and said it was due to a user error and offered to replace it for a fee. They installed the machine in the bedroom, not the bathroom, and it rusted within a year. I provided photos as proof, but they refuse to issue a refund due to rust and claim it is not a usage error, instead offering to replace it for a fee. This is extremely inconvenient. Electrolux provided a replacement due to interior rusting for a 6-year-old dishwasher under an extended warranty, but for a one-year guaranteed washing machine, they insist it's due to user error and will only replace it at a cost. This is a very frustrating situation.
