Dyson V15 Malfunction - Brand New Cordless Vacuum Fails Under Warranty

On May 3, 2023, I purchased a Dyson V15 cordless vacuum cleaner in Turkey. Since we spend about six months of the year out of town, the product was only used occasionally, and during that time, it worked perfectly fine. However, after using it without any problems on June 11, we tried to use it again on September 23 and discovered that it no longer worked. I sent the device to the technical service, and after inspection, I was informed that both the main body and filter parts needed replacement, that the product was not covered under warranty, and that the repair would cost ₺5,600. Since I did not accept this fee, my product was returned without any repairs. Although the warranty is valid until May 3, 2025, it is disappointing that such a major malfunction occurred in such a short time without any user error, and that a high repair fee was demanded. I also noticed that many users have reported similar issues on the Xolvie platform, which raises serious doubts about the product’s reliability. I contacted Dyson customer service both by phone and email, but no solution was provided—only that a paid repair could be done since it was deemed out of warranty. Considering the short usage period and the widespread nature of this issue, I request that the repair be carried out free of charge. If my request is not met, I will take the matter to the Consumer Court and share my experience on international platforms.

Dyson sent the product back without taking any action. When I was first called, they stated that the main body of the product would be completely replaced, but after my complaint, the authorized person who called said that there was a motor malfunction, that there was no technical problem with the charging, and that the main part would not be replaced. What is the actual problem and what will really be done to the product? Consumers are not given accurate information. I will submit the issue to the Consumer Arbitration Committee. Buying Dyson was a regret.
