Most DistroKid upload errors happen due to connection issues, file format problems, or small technical mismatches, not serious platform failures, so you can usually fix them quickly by addressing these areas.
First, retry the upload using a stable internet connection (preferably wired), clear your browser cache, or switch to another browser/incognito mode, since failed uploads or red progress bars are often caused by network interruptions or browser conflicts.
Next, check your files carefully: audio should typically be WAV (16-bit, 44.1 kHz) and artwork must be a proper JPG square (3000×3000), because even small format errors can trigger rejections.
If one track has an error, the entire release will fail, so delete the upload and re-upload after fixing the problematic file, as DistroKid cannot process partial releases.
If issues persist, upload from a local device (not cloud storage), avoid external drives, and contact DistroKid support with screenshots so they can identify specific errors.
If support does not reply, you might want to consider posting a complaint on Xolvie in order to bring attention to the issue and try to find a solution.
