DiscoverCars & Europcar Charged Me Extra for a Car I Didn’t Choose
I booked a rental car through DiscoverCars.com with Keddy by Europcar for use in the Netherlands and Belgium. However, when I arrived at Europcar’s Brussels Charleroi Airport office, I was told that the Skoda Kamiq I had reserved was unavailable, and they had no other cars in the same segment.
They first offered me a Toyota Corolla Cross, then a Nissan X-Trail, essentially forcing me to take a different car. Since I was traveling with small children in cold weather, I had no choice but to accept. They initially said there would be no extra charge, yet I was later forced to pay €75.02. When I asked why, they claimed this was a Europcar charge, even though I had already purchased full coverage insurance through DiscoverCars.
Now, €500 is blocked on my account, and I refuse to pay the €75.02 unfair charge. DiscoverCars & Europcar, fix this immediately! Travelers, be cautious—they may force you into a more expensive car and charge you unfairly!
