DiscoverCars Charged Me €240 for Insurance I Didn’t Agree To

I booked a rental car through DiscoverCars for my trip to Macedonia, agreeing to pay €55 + €60 as per the initial deal. However, when I arrived in Skopje, the rental company refused to release the car unless I purchased a €240 insurance plan.

They claimed they couldn’t block the deposit on my card, forcing me to either pay for their highest-priced insurance or be left without a car. In the end, I had no choice but to pay an extra €240, along with the €55 deposit fee.

This is unacceptable and misleading! DiscoverCars should clearly disclose these hidden charges upfront instead of tricking customers at the last minute. I demand a refund for the forced insurance fee! Beware of this scam!
