Delonghi Iron Water Tank Repair Is a Time-Consuming Ordeal

The water tank on my Delonghi VVX1885 iron, which I bought in 2016, has broken. I couldn't find the product at the authorized service centers, so I contacted customer service to get a replacement part. Surprisingly, they said they don't have the part in stock and can't get it. What do they suggest? Give me a call again in a couple of months. According to Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 (15.1.8), they have to give you spare parts for ten years. If they can't do this, they have to provide other options like giving a different device instead. But they're not suggesting any specific solutions. So, I'm going to file a complaint with the consumer court. It seems like Delonghi doesn't really care about being responsible as a company. I saw on their websites that this brand is mentioned, and a lot of my friends have had the same problem with their coffee machines. When a device stops working, it often feels like the only option is to throw it away.
