My Dell G5515 Ryzen Laptop Overheats to 103°C with No Support
August 9, 2024 9:58 PM49

I'm using a Dell G5515 Ryzen model laptop, and the CPU temperature reaches as high as 102-103°C, which I cannot lower. The laptop frequently lags, making it nearly impossible to use. Despite this, Dell's service team dismisses my concerns, stating that synthetic tests show normal temperatures. However, these high temperatures are what I experience during real-world use.

Additionally, the Dell Alienware Command Center app lacks customization options for my laptop, unlike the Intel-based models. It seems that because my laptop has a Ryzen processor, these features are not available. Dell is not standing behind their product; this is not what was advertised during sales and marketing. My request for a device replacement was denied. Due to these overheating issues and the lack of software support, I cannot recommend this laptop.
