I Face Missing Drive Caddies and Cables on My New Dell T160 Server

11

On September 10, 2025, I purchased a Dell T160 Server brand new from Hepsiburada, and I’m now facing a serious issue. According to the product specifications, the server should support 3 x 3.5” drives and 2 x 2.5” drives. However, the package only included one 3.5” drive caddy for the preinstalled disk. When I tried to install a second 3.5” SATA drive or any 2.5” SSD, I discovered that the required drive trays and connection cables (SATA power and data) were missing. Because of this, I can’t fully utilize the storage capacity that Dell advertises for this model.

Additionally, when I attempted to upgrade the RAM, I found it extremely difficult to locate compatible UDIMM ECC DDR5 memory modules. The product’s configuration and lack of available upgrade parts are causing major inconvenience from both a hardware and support standpoint.

I have been unable to reach Dell’s customer support, and I haven’t received any assistance to resolve these issues. Given that this is a brand-new, high-priced server, I expect to be able to use all the advertised features without having to purchase additional parts separately.

I request that Dell provide the missing drive trays and cables necessary to use the full disk configuration stated in the product specifications.
