Dell offers different warranty periods depending on the model — from 12 months to 3 years. Checking by serial number (Service Tag) helps you know exactly when the warranty started and when it will expire.
How to check your Dell warranty:
Find the Service Tag — it's a 7-character code on a sticker at the bottom of the laptop or in the BIOS.
– You can also open Command Prompt and enter:
wmic bios get serialnumber
Go to the website: https://www.dell.com/support/home
– Enter the Service Tag → click Search
– A page with your model will open showing the warranty expiration date
Check if extended or international warranty applies, especially if the laptop was purchased abroad.
