Decathlon Failed to Fix My Bike’s Recurring Brake Problem

June 18 11:24 PM

I have been experiencing a serious brake issue with a bicycle I purchased from Decathlon since the very first day of ownership. Shortly after noticing the problem, I brought the bicycle to the store for inspection and repair. I was informed that the brake issue had been corrected, and I expected the bicycle to function properly afterward.

Unfortunately, the same problem returned within a short period of time. Despite the repair attempt, the brake defect continues to occur, leading me to believe that this is not a temporary adjustment issue but rather a recurring and potentially chronic defect affecting the bicycle.

Approximately one week ago, I opened a customer service request regarding this matter. However, despite several days having passed, I have not received any concrete, professional, or solution-oriented response. I find it unacceptable that a well-known and established company has failed to properly address an ongoing safety-related problem and the inconvenience it has caused.

Because the defect has existed since the beginning and was not permanently resolved after service intervention, I no longer have confidence in the reliability of the product. For this reason, I am requesting either a full replacement of the bicycle or a complete refund of the purchase price.

My customer service request number is 260615-000000.

I expect an urgent and solution-focused response from Decathlon regarding this matter. If I do not receive a satisfactory resolution within 24 hours, I intend to pursue my consumer rights through the appropriate legal channels, including filing a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee. I have retained all invoices, correspondence, and records related to this process and am prepared to submit them as evidence if necessary.
