I purchased a Fold 120 folding bicycle with 20-inch wheels, V-brakes, and a 6-speed system from Decathlon’s İzmir Gaziemir store approximately two years ago. From the very first day I bought the bicycle, the tires repeatedly burst because the screws between the rim and the inner tube were piercing the tube. This caused continuous problems and left me repeatedly inconvenienced.
When I took the bicycle back to the store where I purchased it, the staff inspected it and determined that the issue was caused by the screws behind the rim damaging the inner tube. However, this conclusion was only communicated verbally by the technician, and I was not provided with any written report. Despite the product being under warranty and despite reporting the issue within the first week, no solution was offered. No repair or replacement was carried out, and I received no support.
On the contrary, I was forced to purchase a new inner tube, protective rim tape, and a repair kit with patches and adhesive from the same store on that day and repair the bicycle myself. I spent approximately $12 out of my own pocket for these repairs at that time.
Over the past two years, the same tire problem has continued to occur intermittently. Despite contacting both the store and customer service by phone multiple times, I did not receive any effective assistance. My invoice/order number is 2092163533042, and my name is İbrahim K**. I purchased the bicycle for approximately $133.**
I am requesting that my grievance be resolved, that this defective product be handled under warranty as it should have been from the beginning, and that the full amount I paid be refunded.
