Even though I did not give any clear consent for a membership or payment through Claritycheck, a high membership fee was charged to my credit card. I opened my account by phone on January 8, 2026, at 8:21 AM and used the platform only once to look up a person’s phone number. At that time, I was asked to pay a much lower fee of approximately $3, and I definitely did not approve a high charge of $45.
Despite this, my Garanti Bank credit card statement shows a charge from “Claritycheck” in the amount of $45 (billed in dollars) on January 15, 2026, at 8:33 AM. After noticing this charge, I logged into the website and canceled my membership. Even though I only accessed the platform once and did not initiate any ongoing membership or subscription afterward, this fee was still charged to my card.
As soon as I discovered the charge, I requested the cancellation of my membership and any related subscriptions. However, I have not received any response to date, and I have been unable to reach customer service. This is the first time I have experienced such a situation, and it has caused both financial harm and a serious loss of trust.
I am requesting that the $45 charged to my Garanti Bank credit card without my knowledge or consent be refunded immediately and that any memberships or subscriptions opened in my name be fully and permanently canceled.
