Unauthorized pdfe.com Subscription Appears Overnight on My Account
On January 9, 2026, at 12:45 AM, I noticed a pending charge of $56 on my Garanti Bank credit card under the name pdfe.com. This was a transaction I did not authorize and did not use in any way. I discovered this completely by chance while reviewing my credit card activity. At that date and time, I did not visit the pdfe.com website, did not perform any file conversion or similar action, and did not start any subscription.
About a week earlier, on January 1, 2026, I used pdfe.com only to merge a few PDF pages and paid approximately $1 per transaction separately. For those payments, I received only a thank-you email related to the specific actions I performed. There was no information stating that a subscription had been started, that a trial plan would later become paid, or that $56 would be charged in the future.
After noticing this suspicious activity on my credit card, I logged into my pdfe.com account and saw that a subscription had been created in my name with a listed amount of $56. Even though the site showed only a 1-day subscription between January 8–9, an excessive charge of $56 was applied for this very short period. I did not access this site on January 8–9, did not create any subscription for those dates, and did not perform any transactions.
As soon as I became aware of this unauthorized charge, I contacted Garanti Bank, canceled my credit card, and was informed that I could file a spending dispute after 24 hours. In addition, I request that this unauthorized and unfair charge be investigated by pdfe.com, that I be informed how my card details were used, and that the full $56 be refunded to me. I demand that this transaction carried out without my knowledge or consent be canceled and that any so-called subscriptions associated with my account be permanently terminated.
