At the end of January 2026, upon hearing a noise coming from the engine of my Citroën C‑Elysée, I initially consulted an independent auto repair shop. The mechanics there informed me that the noise was originating from the timing chain, that this is a known factory defect, and that Citroën is currently running a recall campaign regarding this issue. Following this, I applied to the Citroën Arkas Gaziemir authorized service center, where I confirmed that there was indeed a recall process for this specific model and engine. However, I was informed that the only procedure performed on my vehicle at the service center was an “AI sound analysis” (having an artificial intelligence listen to the engine), and based on this inspection, I was told that no problem was detected. Despite this, on April 3, 2026, the timing chain snapped completely, leaving me stranded on the road, and I was forced to leave my vehicle at the service center once again. I demand that this issue, which should have been diagnosed previously and is explicitly covered under the recall campaign, be repaired within the scope of the campaign without any additional costs being charged to me, especially given the severe inconvenience and hardship I have unjustly experienced.
