On December 27, 2025, I took delivery of my brand-new Citroën New C5 Aircross Max package, which is only 3 weeks old and has 850 km on it. On the morning of January 16, 2026, immediately after turning off the engine, the vehicle displayed an “Electric Traction System Fault” warning and became completely inoperable.
Because the vehicle was parked in the indoor parking garage of my workplace, I contacted Citroën Roadside Assistance, and I was told that the vehicle needed to be towed to a service center. Since a standard tow truck could not enter the indoor parking garage, a special tow truck had to be arranged, and I was forced to pay $230 to have the vehicle removed from the garage.
Later that same day, around 4:00 PM, we went to Citroën Ayazağa General Oto Service Center. Only a service record was opened, and we were told that because they were operating with reduced staff on Saturday, fault diagnosis could only be performed on Monday. Experiencing such a critical failure in a brand-new vehicle, and having even the diagnosis postponed for days, caused me serious disappointment.
Because schools were on holiday, we had to cancel our planned out-of-town vacation, I was unable to take my child to weekend courses, and our entire family schedule and plans were disrupted. Despite requesting a replacement vehicle, none was provided on the grounds that fault diagnosis had not yet been completed. At the very least, a replacement vehicle should have been provided until Monday.
My license plate number is 34 *** 119, my chassis number is VR7KAHPY2SL0574**, and my service record number is 10116024.
To remedy the hardship I experienced, I request that Citroën cover the $230 towing cost I was forced to pay to remove the vehicle from the indoor parking garage, that a replacement vehicle be provided immediately, and that if the fault cannot be resolved within a short time, the vehicle be replaced with a brand-new, zero-kilometer vehicle. I ask Citroën to urgently intervene in this matter so that all costs and inconvenience caused by such a serious failure in a nearly new vehicle are fully resolved.
