Chess.com Charged My Card $149.65 Without Authorization

On August 28, 2026, I noticed on my bank statement that a charge of $149.65 had been made to my bank card by Chess.com, even though I have never had a membership or account with Chess.com. I have never previously registered with Chess.com, started any trial membership, or authorized any payment. This transaction was made entirely without my knowledge or consent.

As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted my bank and filed a dispute. My card was also canceled for security reasons. My bank informed me that the investigation could take approximately 45 days. To avoid further inconvenience and prevent any loss during this process, I request that Chess.com investigate this unauthorized transaction and refund the $149.65 charged to my card.

I request that this transaction, which was made without my membership or authorization, be investigated urgently. I would also like to be informed about how my card information was used and request that the full $149.65 charged to my card be refunded to me as soon as possible.
